Hi,
I'm new to this forum.  I have WinXP and Nero is my burning software.  I tried to burn additional pictures to a cd that I have already burned pictures to in the past.  The cd properties show that it is not even close to being full.  I never opt to close a cd so that I can 'multi-session' or add to it in the future. Nero software program doesn't recognize the cd (I say this because it doesn't show the current name of the cd in the title box).  I tried using the Windows cd writing wizard and it showed the name in the title box but it wouldn't write to it.  When I tried the Windows program again (and again), I went to My Computer to view the cd properties and it showed it has having no free space.  I take the cd to my laptop and it shows lots to free space.  Something about these programs or the cd player is corrupt.  Help!

Thanks,

Hi: I'd stick to one burning application only, esp when making multisession disks.

Probably best to disable XP's inbuilt CD-writing engine - I tend to do this by going into Services & permanently disabling th Imapi service, others do it by right-clicking the drive icon in My Computer, choosing properties, then disabling CD-writing from there.
