hi I was wondering how to get my mp3 files on a data disc to be organized by track number in ascending order (1,2,3,4,ect.).  no matter what software I use sometimes it mixes up the tracks and it seems to mix them up the same way all the time.  I've wasted a whole pack of discs experimenting trying to get it to work.  It's really important to me that the tracks are in the right spot because I listen to mostly 'classical' music.  For example, in windows media player I will stick the files in the order I want but it mixes them up once I burn it to a CD.  itunes and express burn and the other ones I've tried do the same thing.  I've checked the tags and they all appear to be right with the right track number and all that. What am I doing wrong?  Is it even possible to do this?  Is it possible to rearrange tracks on an already finalized cd? I would like to listen to mp3 cds on my stereo with the tracks in the right order.  Any help would be nice thanks. Smiley

Number the tracks with the same amount of digits ie 01,02.......10,11 etc.

I think I have to change the numbering of the actual mp3 file name?  It seems to work when I do that...changing the tags doesn't seem to do the trick.

. .  yup; changing the namestrings to a scheme like "00_xxxxx_xxxxx" is the conventional way to sort this out.
