We're having writing poblems and I'm not sure if it's a software issue or harware issue ... or something else totally. Usually, we use DVD Shrink and DVD 43 to rip a DVD and save it as an ISO image. After that we have tried an assortment of burning software (including CloneDVD, ImgBurn, Nero) to burn the disc and are currently using DeepBurner. The original disc seems to rip and save ok, but we run into problems when we go to burn. With the exception of a few times, we have been getting a medium write error half way through ... every time we go to burn. We bought new discs in a different brand - didn't help. We thought then it's the drive itself throwing up the errors - reloaded the driver, didn't help ... bought and installed a new drive, doesn't seem to help. This is getting old and I'm wondering what the heck the probem is!? I understand there is sometimes encryption on the original DVDs that will cause write errors during burning (not ripping) ... is there any software that will break this? If that isn't the problem is it something else causing these errors??

Could something else crashing in the computer be causing these problems? Any ideas, please HELP!
